To truly appreciate the profound impact that the Prosthetic and Sensory Aid Service has on our Veterans, consider this remarkable statistic: In fiscal year 2023, more than 55% of the Veterans treated across the VHA received an astounding 21.7 million prosthetic devices, items, and services. The reach of PSAS is truly remarkable, touching the lives of a significant portion of our Veteran healthcare population and significantly contributing to an improved quality of life.
These experts, representing various healthcare disciplines, employ a holistic approach beyond the provision of prosthetic limbs, braces, glasses, home oxygen, ramps, and various other services and materials.
